Leah's Baby Shower

We are all so looking forward to Silas and Leah having a baby. So before they moved down to NSW Kara and I threw her a baby shower. Kara did the food and decorations and I was in charge of the games.

Present time!

Lots of family came, Donna, Katrina, Kara, Wanda and Leah in this photo!

Getting extra help unwrapping.

Here is Heather and her daughter... I think this one is Jenna? They were really tried after cleaning out Chris Neal's house which had got flooded almost to the ceiling, in the Brisbane floods.

Cupcakes with little nappies on them made by Leah

Ahhh, who keeps sneaking in to join in the fun- Silas!

The boy corner.

It was a fun night and nice to celebrate Leah and her new baby-to-be. Can you guess if she is having a boy or girl? We missed you Mum and Es!

Hayden's Birthday

Hayden turned 6 in January! My youngest is growing up. When Ben and Seth were younger I thought they were taking ages to grow up. Now find my self thinking I wish they all would stop growing so fast. What changed I wonder?

Hayden had a really good day. In the morning we went bowling, which he just loves. Normally using the stand he can beat his brothers, but he wasn't so lucky this time. In the afternoon we had some family and friends come over for cake. I made a dinosaur cake as he has been interested in dinosaurs after learning about them at school. Well to be correct, Seth helped me make the cake itself, which was really delicious ( I love that he can cook!). Then I got help decorating it. Hayden was really thrilled with all the attention. He had the biggest smile on his face the whole afternoon. . It was nice to see him enjoy all the attention as he is normally so shy.

Christmas Holidays

Christmas holidays started with a bang. We went with my side of the family to a special Christmas concert at QPAC. It was really beautiful with lots of singing and streamers coming from the ceiling in the end. Josh and Hayden were getting a bored at the end so Uncle Si let them play on his iphone.

Mum and Dad went and stayed down in Tugun for a week. So we took turns staying overnight. Here is a picutre of Josh when we fed the birds at Currumbin.

<

Kara did well, she had a few birds here.
<
We brought VIP passes to Movie world, Seaworld and Wet 'n' Wild which gave us unlimited entry to June. They have been great because we go for a couple of hours then come home. Its been hot and very crowded so its nice to only go for a while.

Mark loves Wet 'n' Wild the best.

Some snaps of Seaworld. Mark had to work so it was just me and the boys.

We loved these penguins. They were awesome!

Josh threw a wobbly at me when I told him we were going to watch the Dolphin show. It was fantastic though, even Josh quietly admitted that when it finished.

Some children happy to have another photo, some kids not so happy. :D

Hayden is holding on to a squirt gun here.

I thought we get a little damp from this ride. I got COMPLETLY soaked through. That was at the start of the day. I had to go around Seaworld drenched through. Horrible!

We loved the underwater aquarium.

December 2010

December is such a crazy busy month. Everything is finishing up, everyone is having a christmas party. Ben and Seth finished up at Stretton college, as they were moving to John Paul College the next year. They were sad to leave their friends.

Hayden finished his first year of school. He had a great time in Prep with a great teacher, Meagan Steele and made lots of friends in his class. The Prep Christmas party had a little concert for the parents and some yummy food. Check out Haydens dance moves!

Josh tagged along for the Prep party. He had a accident riding to school the day before. He had to get his chin glued back together and had lots of grazes on his arms and legs. He was more then happy to have some of the party food!

The kids all got into making things for presents this year, I was really proud of their genorosity. Ben spent all his pocket money on presents and then had no money left for the rest of the holidays. Josh was so thrilled with the toffees he made. We burnt the first batch but the second one turned out great.

Christmas was exciting. Our tradition on Christmas Eve is to read the nativity story, put out our stockings for Santa (and carrots for the reindeer) then walk down to the christmas lights which are just round the corner. In the morning the boys look in their stocking to see what Santa brought them.

We had Marks family over for lunch this year. So we made the table settings look really special.

I love Christmas, but I must admit its a relief when its all done and dusted!
